How it all works

In this guide, you will find information regarding various aspects of our holiday and event booking process, member communication, and important considerations. Please refer to the following sections for detailed information.

About us 

Wonderlust is based in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, UK. It is a community that welcomes women of all nationalities aged 18 and above, irrespective of their marital status—be it divorced, single, widowed, or married. Although a certain degree of mobility is required due to the activity level of some of our holidays.

Joining our community opens doors to connecting with like-minded women through regular social events and monthly meetings. Forge meaningful friendships, discover travel companions, and bid farewell to solo travel concerns. 

Wonderlust provided the safety of group travel, avail of exclusive discounts, and cut down on expenses by sharing taxis, carpooling, etc. 

In the event a member has to cancel a booking, waiting lists will be available to offer your tickets to fellow members, reducing the impact of losing their deposits. 


My/our primary communication channels include various social media platforms. We maintain a public Facebook page and a private group accessible to members who pay an annual fee This fee covers membership across all platforms. The Events tab on Facebook also has a past events section where you can view all our past events. The description displays a short intro, then there will be a section at the bottom that says "see more.".

To streamline my promotional efforts across various social media platforms, I consolidate them on my website. Therefore, when you observe that only two individuals have expressed their intention to attend an event on one specific social media platform, it's essential to recognise that the actual turnout might be higher. This is attributed to the fact that I advertise the event across multiple platforms simultaneously, potentially drawing more participants from these other sources. 

For instant messaging. WhatsApp has emerged as the most popular means of communication. I will also leverage WhatsApp groups to consolidate all private social media platforms into a single, convenient instant messaging channel for when urgent messages for time-sensitive information are needed.

Future Plans 

Anticipating future needs, I plan to introduce a dedicated app for private members, enhancing communication and ensuring a more tailored and efficient member experience. 


I/we exclusively collaborate with ATOL and ABTA-protected travel suppliers, source handpicked offers, and encompass a variety of holidays worldwide, including cruises, road trips, and more, with prices ranging from £400 to £1800. 

I can secure discounts for groups of 10 or more, so the greater the number of members, the stronger our bargaining position for favourable deals.

Rest assured, I am committed to providing you with the best travel experiences possible and will continue to strive for excellence in selecting and working with our travel partners. Your satisfaction and safety remain my top priorities. 


Our holidays and events generally require a minimum of four participants. Deposits are refundable if the minimum isn't met. 

Private bookings for individuals or groups are accommodated. 

Booking in advance is encouraged to secure optimal planning time, broader options, and potential cost savings.

It's important to highlight that event bookings require a deposit, and reservations will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.

For Events. Deposits are non-refundable unless an alternative participant can be identified or if the chosen event reaches its capacity, necessitating a selection of a different date or venue.

To Book a Holiday:

Your address (for door-to-door transfer services) 
Any dietary or mobility requirements? 

In case of any emergencies, I will need emergency contact details and any information about underlying health conditions that I may need to inform the paramedic should any incidents occur or you fall ill while away. 

Single room? or sharing? (Please note that if you are sharing a room and you cancel, it may affect the cost of the holiday for the other person, as the price, as with many holiday companies, are based on two people sharing a room.) 

Ensure compliance with my terms and conditions, outlined in the pdf below, those of the holiday supplier and the Government entry requirements.

Cancellation and Refund Policy 
You have the flexibility to cancel your travel arrangements at any time, but keep in mind that cancellation charges may apply. 

I strive to select holidays that offer free amendments when possible. Each travel supplier I work with will have its own cancellation policy, which will be clearly outlined in the travel offer.   
For Events. Deposits are non-refundable unless an alternative participant can be identified or if the chosen event reaches its capacity, necessitating a selection of a different date or event. 

A waiting list will be available for members to obtain cancellation tickets or holidays and will be given out on a first-come first-served basis. 


Members enjoy the freedom to plan their activities, but we advise against unlicensed or uninsured excursions. Travel insurance is not included in the price, and members are encouraged to secure coverage promptly.

I may not be able to personally attend all the holidays and events, but I am committed to making them enjoyable and hassle-free for you. In cases where I cannot be present, I will make every effort to secure a host or enlist the services of a holiday rep.

Please note that I am not a holiday rep myself, so I may not have personally visited the destination on offer. Therefore, I may not possess all the intricate details about the hotel and the surrounding area as a representative would. 

Holiday reps typically reside in the area for extended periods and are well-equipped to provide comprehensive assistance. However, I will endeavour to provide all the details that are given to me.

Please note that Facebook automatically puts me as going to an event, but, as I said, this may not be the case. 

Travel Insurance  

Holiday insurance is not included in the price. It is essential to purchase your own holiday insurance promptly after booking your holiday, as certain policies may commence coverage from the date of premium payment rather than the actual travel days. 

However, it's crucial to note that holiday cancellation insurance might not provide coverage if you decide to cancel due to a change of preference, or inability to take time off work, etc  Therefore, it's important to carefully review the policy details before assuming coverage for specific situations. 

It is recommended to use both options. Local currency in cash is convenient for splitting bills when dining out together, as it makes it easier for waiters not to have to provide separate bills. Credit/debit cards are beneficial for larger purchases. It is also useful for giving tips to porters, etc. 

Some credit/debit cards offer favourable terms with minimal fees for spending money abroad and provide real-time exchange rates. Another alternative is to obtain a travel card, which allows you to preload it with local currency at a reasonable exchange rate before your trip. 

Tourist/city tax 

On packaged holidays, tourist taxes and fees will mostly be included. However, if it isn't, I will state this in the holiday offer. Also, some hotels may require a security deposit. and I will state the cost of the deposit and whether it is payable by credit card or cash, so you can budget accordingly.   

Your Responsibility 

I strongly recommend reviewing the government's official website for entry requirements related to your travel destination. It's essential to purchase travel insurance and stay informed about any necessary documentation or regulations before your trip. Including visas, vaccinations, and medications. 

Check-in for your flight to obtain flight boarding passes. 

It is your responsibility to ensure your baggage weight allowance is met and that your dietary requirements, any mobility issues, and other specific needs are researched before booking. 

I am not responsible for how you imagined a holiday/event to be. So conducting your own research is advisable. 

If you are not feeling well and there is a possibility that you could be contagious, please think of others and reconsider whether you should be going. Please refer to your travel insurance, as it may cover you in this situation. 

Please ensure you pack according to the weather conditions in the country you are travelling to and the activities you will be doing.  

Please ensure you are on time, and don't assume a coach will wait for you, they have a schedule to keep and may have to leave you there. Please have an emergency contact number for the company you are travelling with in case you are late or get lost. It is advised to keep the address of your hotel. As some hotels have the same name but with a different address. Keep a hard copy with you in case your phone runs out of power or you cannot get a signal . On an excursion please take a photo of your meeting point and your coach number or name to enable you to identify the correct coach to get on. 

This group is designed for women to unite, offer support, and focus on our positive qualities to ensure a pleasant experience for everyone. So if any disputes arise, it is encouraged to understand the perspective of others, engage in private conversations using a polite tone, and work collaboratively to resolve any issues or misunderstandings.

The primary goal is for all participants to have an enjoyable time during the holiday. 


Payments for events can be made through three methods: bank transfer, PayPal, or credit card. Please be aware that PayPal and credit card transactions may incur transaction fees.

When making payments, it's important to keep each event payment separate and use the event name /venue as a reference. This will facilitate tracking and ensure that your payment is correctly allocated to the specific event you're booking.

Membership fees come into effect on the 6th of April 2024

For new members, the fee is £25 with a 4-week free trial. Once you become a paid member, you can receive an unlimited £5  cashback incentive for each referred friend upon their paid membership. Membership fees are non-refundable.  You are bound by WLTC terms and conditions when you become a member as agreed via the tick box when signing up. Please read the terms and conditions.

The more members we have, the more leverage we have for discounts.
